Buzzing with life, full of colour, aromas and sounds; the markets of Languedoc is where you will find some of the best local produce in the South of France. Even if you do not want to go to a market everyday, here are a selection of some of the best markets in Languedoc in a daily list to help you narrow down your choice. Markets keep to a high standard in both the Summer and Winter. As with any market, it’s a good idea to get there early to grab your parking space and get the best deals.
Some village markets only offer a small selection of essentials such as Cruzy, Roquebrun, Bize-Minervois for example, while others are large and present the best of local produce.

- Cruzy – Fresh produce varies every morning; Charcuterie Tuesday evening, Pizza van Friday evening
- Quarante – Fresh produce varies every morning; Mussels and chips Tuesday evening; Pizza van Wednesday evenings
- Capestang – Wednesday and Sunday mornings
- St Chinian – Thursday and Sunday mornings, Sunday being much bigger and busier
- Narbonne – Les Halles: When everything else in Languedoc is shut on a Sunday, visiting Narbonne covered market provides you with a burst of life. Spread around the centre of Narbonne on either side of the canal, Narbonne market mainly sells clothing, leather goods, shoes, etc. But there is a wonderful indoor food market that is one of the best in Languedoc. The food here is excellent, especially the cheese and pate. But it is the friendly atmosphere that you notice the most
